This and That

Food doesn't come from the supermarket -- it comes from farmers -- and here in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, that means just around the corner at the Sanbornton Farmers' Market.

The Sanbornton Farmers' Market grew out of a desire by the citizens of Sanbornton to maintain the town's distinctly rural character. Since its start in 2001, the Sanbornton Farmers' Market has sought to add to the sense of community of Sanbornton.

This cookbook and local resource guide was prepared to help our consumers in the selection and preparation of locally available agricultural produce. Our recipes were collected from a variety of sources, but most of them came from our own vendors' favorite ways of preparing fresh produce for their own consumption. This book also provides a resource guide to local producers and local organizations involved in agricultural endeavors.

This project was developed in part by a grant from the New Hampshire Department of Agriculture, Markets and Food and supported by the New Hampshire Department Health and Human Services, the University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension, the Sanbornton Historical Society, the Sanbornton Agriculture and Land Trust and the Sanbornton Historical Document Foundation.
